Questions, answered

The things people actually ask, grouped so you can skip to the part that concerns you.

Downloads

Do I need an account to download?

No. There is no signup, no email gate and no waiting page. The download button sits on each template’s own page and gives you the file immediately.

What do I actually get?

A zip containing HTML, CSS, JavaScript and any images the demo uses. No build tooling, no node_modules, nothing to compile.

Can I use a template for a client project?

Yes. Commercial use is allowed, including for paying clients. See the licence page for the exact terms.

Can I resell the templates?

The licence covers commercial use in your own and your clients projects. Redistributing or reselling the template files themselves is outside it. The full terms are on the licence page.

Where do I get help with a template?

The how-to-use page walks through installation, editing and publishing, and the rest of this FAQ covers the common questions. If you would rather we did the work, that is what our design and maintenance services are for.

Maintenance

What exactly do you do each month?

Nine things: add pages, edit content, add images, publish articles, amend design, add floating buttons, set up popups, build forms and update SEO. That is the whole list, and every one of them is spelled out on the maintenance page.

What does the SEO work cover?

The on-page part: everything that lives inside your website. Meta titles and descriptions, heading structure, your target phrase placed naturally in the copy, image alt text, readable URLs, internal links between related pages, the sitemap kept current, and social preview tags so a shared link looks right. Managed also adds schema markup and a redirect every time a URL changes. It is on every plan; what changes is how many pages a month it covers.

Will this get me to number one on Google?

Nobody can promise a position, and anyone who does is guessing. What this work does is make each page clearly about one thing and easy for a search engine to read and index, which is what makes a page eligible to rank at all. Where it lands after that depends on your market and your competition.

Do you maintain sites you did not build?

Yes. Most of the sites we look after were built by somebody else. We start by looking at what is there, so both sides know what we are working with.

What counts as one content edit?

One change to one page: a paragraph rewritten, a price updated, a set of opening hours corrected. Ten changes to the same page sent in one message counts as one edit, not ten. We are not looking for reasons to say no.

Do you write the articles?

No. You supply the words. We do the formatting, the featured image, the meta description, the categories and the publishing, which is the part that stops most businesses from ever posting anything.

What if I need more than my plan allows?

We tell you before doing the work, never after. Extra work is quoted at a fixed price, or you move up a plan for the month.

How do I send a request?

By email, to hello@7uptheme.com, on every plan. Send it however suits you: a sentence, a document, or a screenshot with arrows drawn on it. You get a reply confirming what we understood before anything is changed.

How fast is the turnaround?

Three to five working days on Essential, three on Standard, one to two on Managed, counted from the point we confirm the request, not from the moment you send it. Set these to the windows you can actually hit, because this is the promise clients hold you to.

Working with us

How do you charge?

Maintenance is a fixed monthly fee, the same every month. Project work is quoted as a fixed price before it starts, never charged by the hour afterwards. Everything is agreed in writing first.

What if I want to leave?

You take everything with you: files, access, credentials. Nothing is held hostage.

Not here? Ask us directly. If it turns out to be a common question, it ends up on this page.

We keep websites current, every month
